With over 4 years of experience, I work with people to explore and shape the gender presentation of their voices, wherever they are in that process. Some students want to actively feminise, masculinise, or neutralise their presentation, while others simply want to explore what's possible. Ultimately, it's my hope that my students can leave each lesson feeling closer to their goals, whether they plan to take just one to get started or to work with me throughout the entire process.
Just saying hi, and a little tour of some of the vocal qualities that we may want to specifically focus in on as it relates to modifying gender presentation and general vibe in voice.
My students are all sorts of people, I've worked with trans men, trans women, non-binary people, plural individuals and even cis people. I think everybody, regardless of lived experience, deserves to have a voice that feels safe and authentic at the same time as feeling good. Lots of us are motivated by dysphoria but it's not a requirement to do voice training. It's not even a prerequisite to want to change your voice, in day to day life, you can just want to explore your options and to build a greater sense of agency!
When I teach, I try to centre trust and transparency. It's my aim to give you honest feedback and practical tools to support you in reaching your goals. whether you're looking for one session or you're looking for an ongoing teacher-student relationship.
By default, I prioritize efficiency. I want to make our time in lessons as informative and productive as possible, so that you can then take what you've learned and apply it in practice, turning your practice into an engine for progress.
But, fast paced lessons mixed with busy practice isn't what works for best for everyone. And ultimately, the most efficient path on paper isn't always the one that's going to work best in reality. So if you're looking for something slow paced where we really work on your foundation together, talk to me about it. The more openly we talk about your needs and goals, the better we can tailor our lessons to help you make real progress in a time and cost effective way.
Check out Lessons and Teaching to learn more about my teaching approach and what goes into lessons themselves. If you want more information on how they work then there are some FAQs in book a lesson.
My lessons don't follow a strict formula because different people need different things at different times. In general, we would start off by checking in on your goals, your voice, and whatever brought you in that day. We would shape the lesson around whatever's most useful for you at that point in time.
Who are these lessons for?
My most common clients are trans men and trans women but they're open to anyone, transgender, nonbinary, cis or not.
Do I need prior experience?
Nope. Come as you are!
Are lessons expensive?
I keep my lessons cheaper than many other UK voice teachers, and there are reduced-rate and sponsored options if cost is a barrier.

Hi everyone! I'm Adi (they/them) and I'm a nonbinary trans voice coach from the UK. I graduated from university in 2021 with a degree in biology. Since then, I've been working with people to modify the gender presentation of their voices. Lessons invariably revolve around practical application, but if we dig a little deeper, we see a fascinating mesh of biology, physics and psychoacoustics all coming together to shape how we hear and produce voices. And with our collective understanding of voice constantly evolving, it never fails to feel novel and exciting .
Outside of coaching, I do a mixture of things. I consider myself a bit of a homebody, but I enjoy video games, going for walks, reading and sometimes I cajole myself into doing some writing. More often than that, I'll be working on some vocal resources or doing some voice work, responding to Reddit posts on r/transvoice, or maybe you'll find me in a voice practice vc somewhere. My resources tend to end up on my Discord, if you'd like to check those out then you can join the discord through the community tab. In the discord, there are also public lessons sometimes and free voice workshops.
Additional Note
I try to keep my lessons as cost effective as possible, and I am cheaper than many other voice teachers in the UK. But I understand my prices are still too high for some people. If this is you, don't worry, there are options available.
The first option is to reach out to me via Discord and DM me. It's a case-by-case basis, but often we can reduce the rates that you pay on the lessons. Especially if you're planning to come back for more than one.
The second option is to request a sponsored lesson. You can find out about how to request and gift those in the # gift-a-lesson channel in the Discord. There is currently a little bit of a surplus, so if you know you'd struggle to afford lessons, then that option may be appropriate for you. They have dual benefits because other people can listen in on the lessons, and can hopefully learn from them too.
